Tilapia with Balsamic Butter Sauce

I had a craving for fish the other night.  Well I had Tilapia in the freezer.  So I did a quick internet search for tilapia to give me an idea.  Looking for a recipe with a sauce I saw plenty with lemon butter, a white wine sauce and some with balsamic sauces.  I checked out a couple of recipes and came up with this one.  Hope you like it.

This is a nice simple recipe.  Only a few ingredients.  Tilapia, Balsamic Vinegar, Butter, Garlic, oil and of course salt and pepper.

 

How to Make Tilapia with Balsamic Butter Sauce

Thaw the tilapia following directions.  Salt and Pepper each side.

Heat a frying pan on medium high heat, add 1 tablespoon of oil and 1 tablespoon of butter.  When melted add the tilapia and pan fry on both sides about 3-4 minutes a side or until done.

When the fish is done, remove from the pan to a holding plate and return the pan back to the stove.

Add in Balsamic Vinegar and reduce a few minutes.  Stir in small pieces of butter until mixed well and sauce is finished.

Spoon sauce over fish.

Sauce Applied

Balsamic Vinegar Butter Sauced Fish

Add additional side to the plate and serve.  Enjoy.

  1. Salt and Pepper the tilapia fillets
  2. In a frying pan, add 1 tablespoon of oil and 1 tablespoon of butter. Allow the pan to become hot then add the fillets to the pan and allow to fry 3-4 per side or until fillets are done. Remove the fillets to a plate cover and set aside while you make the sauce.
  3. To the frying pan, add the balsamic vinegar and heat on high heat until reduced in half. Add in the pieces of butter while stirring constantly and well incorporated and sauce is the desired consistency.
  4. Plate the fish and spoon sauce over the fish. Serve.
