Wolfgang Puck 2lb. Programmable Electronic Breadmaker BBME0070 Purchase

My first Bread Machine.

It has been a while since I owned a bread machine.  My old one was a Breadman TR520.  The first thing that went on it was the snap ring which hold the shaft assembly for the paddle.  So I ordered a replacement pan.  To be truthful, I did not bake very much bread in it.  I disliked the shape of the loaf and the fact the paddle left a hole in the bottom of the bread.  Plus it just did not fit in the toaster right – it was too long for the slot.  But that was okay because I learned how to make the dough and place it into a greased loaf pan and bake it in the oven.  I was overjoyed.  Nothing beats the smell of bread baking in the oven.

Over course, it also became my pizza dough maker.  At least twice a week we would make a pizza.  It sure git it’s work out.  Then one day the motor quit.  Awe shucks.  What’s a guy to do?  That is when I started making my dough in the Kitchenaid stand mixer.

But do you know what I miss?  The stand mixer is a little messy.  It’s too easy to spill the flour on the counter top or turn it on too fast (not knowing I should never be above speed 3) i would take it up to speed 9 and let her rip.  You guessed it flour showers in the kitchen.  A light dusting of snow everywhere.  Live and learn.  Now I do a good job.  But compared to the bread maker, it is still harder to mix.

My Newest – Wolfgang Puck 2lb. Programmable Electronic Breadmaker BBME0070

Move to 2015,  I am working on some recipes here for on the blog.  Sure I can easily adapt them with my knowledge of bread making with the Breadman..

So my mission now was to find a cheap bread machine.  I really did not care if it could bake cakes, make jam, add nuts and fruits automatically or the size of the work pan.  Why you ask? Simple, I do not intend to bake my bread in there.  I like the shape of a real loaf pan in the oven better.  I don’t ask for much do I?

So I started checking out my usual sites.  Ebay, Amazon, Walmart, Overstock, Target,  QVC and several others.  And you know what?  I found what looks like a great deal on Wolfgang Puck 2lb. Programmable Electronic Breadmaker.  So this is what I purchased,

Now that I am patiently awaiting the arrival, I just had to share the news.  Look for pictures very soon.  I might even made a loaf and show my bread slicing guides.

Update August 22, 2015.  The bread machine has arrived and been unpacked.  I need to wash all the parts and run it through an empty cycle to burn off any remaining oils etc.  Then it’s off to making some bread.  My only question is what to make first.
