Philadelphia’s NY Cheesecake
Some of the best recipes can be found on the manufacture’s packaging. Kraft Philadelphia Cream Cheese® has included a recipe for years. Sure they have added various updates and twists to make different flavors, but the basic recipe is always the same. (8 ounces cream cheese, 1 egg, 1/4 cup sugar (or Splenda®) and 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract and you increase the cream cheese to fit your pan. This way you can bake a cheese cake in an eight inch spring form pan, 4 inches high using 4 packages of cream cheese for a stunning look.)
Cream Cheese batter has been poured into a baked graham cracker crust. Fill almost to the top. There is very little rise however, it will puff up while it is cooking and deflate as it cools. This is normal.
Sorry for the smudge on the pictures, I guess my hands were a little dirty. The cheese cake has been baked and is cooking. How to tell if you cheese cake is done? Look for the center to be slightly giggly like set gelatin. It should not be liquidity.
