How I Mix Sugar Free Powdered Drink Mixes in a clean 2-Liter Soda Bottle

Mixing Sugar Free Drink Mixes

This is one of my first posts. I used it as a training on how to write a post and insert pictures which is why it is here. Everyone probably know already how to do this, so this is my way of learning something now. I will show you how I mix a drink mix in a cleaned 2-liter soda bottle.

I drink a lot of sugar free drinks made from Crystal Light®, store brands and Kool-Aid®. And I use a clean 2 liter soda bottle. The drink mixes come in an envelope which make 1/2 gallon or a little less than 2 liters. Well the 2 liter soda bottle works great when you do not fill it up all the way with water, leaving about a 2-inch space at the top. This space provide an air pocket which aids in the mixing.

For the Kool-Aid® which I need to add artificial sweetener or sugar, I use a small funnel to get that into the bottle.

This is about as basic as you can get. If you get tired using a pitcher this may be for you.

Instructions
  1. Clean and rinse a 2-liter soda bottle. I use some soap, hot water, a good shake, and rinse plenty of times until it runs clear.
  2. Fill soda bottle with cold water. Stop about 2-inchs from the top, You want an air pocket.
  3. Add the drink mix packet. Some of the newer packets you can fit into the bottle and empty the contents, Others you might need to use a funnel.
  4. Measure and add the sweeter of you choice (if required).
  5. Place the cap on tightly and give a good shake until everything is dissolved. Serve.
Recipe Notes

You can use unsweetened mixes and add you own sweetener.  You can even make instant tea and coffee this way and add in lemon, sweeteners, cream etc.
