Easy Peach Crumble

Using peach pie filling, this recipe was a snap to pull together.  In a matter of 15 minutes you can easily have six of these ready for the oven and be cleaned up.

If you wish to serve then warm out of the oven, prepare ahead of time and pop into the oven while the meal is cooking.  Allow to cool for 10 to 15 minutes before serving.  A nice scoop of vanilla ice cream sound great too.

I used disposable 4 ounce aluminum ramekins to make clean up a breeze.

Prepare pans by placing on a piece of parchment paper or aluminum foil to catch spills  Open up canned peaches,  Prepare crumble topping.

Fill ramekins with 1/3 cup of peach pie filling (it should fill the container to about 3/4 full) then fill with crumble topping.  Bake in a preheated 350ºF/177ºC oven for 35-45 minutes or until the mixture is bubbly and the crumble is a golden brown.

Remove from oven when done baking.  Cool 15 minutes before serving. Topping with a scoop of vanilla ice creams sounds like an  excellent idea.

Crumble
  1. Place all the crumble ingredients in a mixing bowl. Using you fingers, work the butter into the flour, as if making pie dough, until the mixture resemble fine peas.
Assembly
  1. Preheat oven to 350ºF/177ºC.
  2. Place ramekins on a parchment or foil lined baking pan for easier clean-up.
  3. Fill the ramekins with 1/3 cup each of prepared peach pie filling (this is make the ramekins about 3/4s full).
  4. Divide crumble mixture on top.
  5. Bake in a preheated 350ºF/177ºC oven for 35-45 minutes or until the mixture is bubbly and the crumble is a golden brown
  6. Remove from oven. Cool 15 minutes before serving. Top with a scoop of ice cream if desired.
